When we tested the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, we mentioned that the Challenger and Charger's production run is already over 14 years old, a long time for any generation of cars, though like all , it must come to an end; In 2023 we will see the end of this generation before its electrification, which is why some reports assure that the Challenger could say goodbye with an even more brutal version than the Challenger Demon.
The most powerful Challenger so far is the Demon which has been factory prepared for drag racing, even with the ability to run 100 octane gasoline to produce 840 hp and 770 lb- ft of torque . These figures would be exceeded by a good margin according to the information that Mopar Insiders seem to have, because according to them, an informant told them that the Challenger farewell model could produce a whopping 909 hp .
This figure would be achieved by being able to use ethanol as fuel, E85, a fuel widely used in the racing world and with which an iconic model would say goodbye before being electrified. Of course, these statements are not officially confirmed, but it is to be expected that if they come true, this Challenger will be presented as a 2023 model and in the very short term.
It should be noted that fans of the brand expect the final model to reach 1,000 hp, which is by far the most powerful Dodge to come off the production line. For this there are several possibilities, they can use the brutal 1000 hp Hellephant engine kit or modify the 6.2 liter Hemi V8 that it already uses to reach this figure, even if it would mean cannibalizing the already mentioned Hellephant .
