During an interview with the British magazine Auto Express , Peter Rawlinson spoke about the future Lucid range, which will include four models, two of which will be intended to compete with the Tesla Model 3 and Y. A sedan and a D-segment SUV are expected to hit the market by 2026. These two models are key to leveraging the brand's production capabilities. Lucid plans to increase production at Casa Grande to 350,000 units per year, and the Saudi Arabia plant to 150,000 units to complement.
However, even if it admits that the market needs an electric car that costs $25,000 and consumes less than 10kWh/100km, Lucid will not go down this road, either in terms of price or price. of production volumes.
