It was in 2017 that the star brand said goodbye to the Mercedes-AMG G 65 with the Final Edition : only 65 units saw the light of day of this most beastly G-Class farewell variant ever.
Well, those who no longer wanted it, have a new opportunity to hire the services of this brutal collectible SUV: one of these units will be auctioned in a few days.
RM Sotheby's is making one of these Mercedes-AMG G 65 Final Edition available to the highest bidder at its auction in St. Moritz (Switzerland) on September 9. And it's almost new.
The estimated price varies between 295,000 euros and 360,000 euros , so it could even exceed the price that this Final Edition had when it was sold new: 310,230 euros.
With just over 160 km traveled
The odometer of this Mercedes-AMG G 65 Final Edition promises that it has only covered 163 km . Produced in 2018, it was delivered new to Kuwait, being mainly on display in the collection of its first owner.
Only a year later, it was imported to Switzerland, passing through the hands of its current owner, who is the one who put it up for auction at RM Sotheby's. It's not like I use it much considering how many miles it has.
Despite the little movement, it is understood that it has received the necessary maintenance and has been walked from time to time. Either way, it looks flawless in the photos.
Like the rest of the AMG G 65 Final Edition, this unit is distinguished by an exclusive combination, which accompanies the powerful V12 biturbo heart of the AMG off-roader. The body is dressed in gloss black, with gunmetal accents on the grille, bumpers, mirror caps and rear spare wheel.
The package is completed with 21-inch five-spoke wheels, also finished in bronze, or a visible carbon fiber cover for the engine.
Inside, there are also carbon fiber and bronze accents, an AMG Performance steering wheel or leather-covered Comfort seats with contrast stitching, among others.
Under the hood of this beastly off-roader from the Affalterbach firm hides a mammoth 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 , which produces 630 hp and no less than 1,000 Nm of torque.
Despite its 2.5 tons of weight, this G-Class is able to do the 0-100 in 5.3 seconds and its top is set at 230 km/h, being electronically limited. In short, a new opportunity to obtain the most beastly G-Class swan song ever.
