Red Bull 's competitors have little hope after dominant performances from Max Verstappen and Sergio Pérez in the first two qualifying and races of the Red Bull Formula 1 World Cup. Their car appears to be a second faster than the next, but a major concern has arisen over its reliability, due to its fragility.
According to AMuS , Red Bull could have used Chinese car parts to compensate for this weakness, but there is no guarantee that either car will finish the Australian Grand Prix .
Red Bull thinks there has been a problem with quality control and some specific parts
Although he managed to correct it later in the race, Verstappen 's failure during qualifying for the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix was not taken lightly at Red Bull. The failure of this bearing is the only major failure they have encountered so far this season, but at Red Bull they fear it will not be the last.
The race in Saudi Arabia was an opportunity for Red Bull to push their cars to their limit for the first time this year, with Verstappen catching up and Sergio Pérez trying to hold on to the top spot. However, the small issues experienced by both riders suggest something is wrong with the RB19 .
Based on the information available, Red Bull suspects that a quality control issue and parts from a specific supplier, assembled several months ago, is the source of their concern. They are so worried that they cannot guarantee that their cars will be ready for Australia.
It's possible that Red Bull are looking to add excitement to a season that doesn't seem to be very competitive due to their superiority. However, Verstappen and Perez's complaints about different issues during the race in Jeddah are also evident which resulted in the championship being stalled.
Despite everything, Formula 1 heads to Albert Park , a circuit which continues to put a strain on the cars, and where Red Bull has not won a victory since 2011. Given doubts over the reliability of the cars of Verstappen and Pérez, Fernando Alonso could do well and finally win the long-awaited victory.
The next few hours will let us know if Red Bull's alleged reliability issues are indeed real.
