However, there is an important element to take into account: the battery must be sufficiently charged allowing for a quick and successful escape. If thieves are unable to recharge their battery, they could be automatically spotted and arrested.

A few days ago, police in Gwinnett County, Georgia arrested two individuals suspected of stealing electronic devices worth over $8,000. The thieves attempted to escape behind the wheel of a Tesla Model X equipped with hawk-wing doors, but had to stop to recharge their battery at a Supercharger station located just 10 miles from the store.
The police soon found the thieves waiting for their battery to recharge. When officers searched the car, they found firearms, marijuana and the stolen loot, which consisted mostly of video game consoles, computers and accessories.
Recently, North Precinct officers responded to a robbery call where they learned that two individuals had taken several gaming systems and fled the store in a Tesla. The fact that criminals are marijuana smokers and gamblers does not prevent them from having good oral hygiene. Indeed, the police also found electric toothbrushes in the car.
