The Suzuki Jimny gets even sexier dressed in this retro outfit

08/03/2023 at 19:09

The eternal pocket SUV Suzuki Jimny has just released a special edition with a retro flavor and the surname Heritage. This charming version is distinguished by the vinyls that decorate its body and that can be combined with various colors.

Only 300 units will see the light of this Suzuki Jimny Heritage and, unfortunately, all destined for the Australian market. It must be remembered that, in Europe, the Jimny stopped being sold in its passenger version due to emissions, being replaced by the industrial Pro, with only two seats .

However, it has already been confirmed that the new generation of the Jimny is on the way and that in Europe it will be marketed as a 100% electric model. And it won't be long in coming, as its launch is expected in 2024.

With eighties war paints

Conceived on the fourth installment of the simple off-roader, the Suzuki Jimny Heritage is adorned with two stripes in red and orange that extend along the entire side. It also includes a logo with the name Heritage, and a rhino overprinted in black.

These war paints evoke, according to the brand, the entire Jimny tradition, essentially the models of the 70s, 80s and 90s. And they can be combined with up to four colors for the bodywork: white, green, gray or pearl black. The icing on the cake is put on by the fender skirts, in red and with the brand name shining in white.

For the rest there are no changes, since the 1.5-liter K15B atmospheric gasoline engine is still present , which yields 102 hp and 130 Nm . Also the five-speed manual transmission or the all-wheel drive disconnectable Allgrip Pro with reduction.

In addition, this Jimny Heritage comes standard with 15-inch wheels, LED headlights, leather steering wheel, seven-inch multimedia display, rear parking assistance camera, climate control or assistance technologies such as cruise control and lane departure warning, among the highlights.

The Jimny Heritage is offered for A$22,632 , which at current exchange rates translates to €14,169. Much cheaper than when its fourth installment was launched in Spain, starting at 17,000 euros. Right now the Jimny Pro starts at 22,008 euros, with discounts included.

Although given the high demand, even when it was still being sold new with four seats, the Jimny appreciated rapidly in the second-hand market: there were units that were offered for more than 30,000 euros.
