Under the hood, the launch version will feature a largely redesigned 40 TDI with lighter parts and sharply reduced nitrogen oxide emissions thanks to a new dual-metered SCR catalyst system with dual AdBlue injection. Also thanks to the traditional 12V light hybridization, WLTP consumption then drops from 6.4 to 5.4 l / 100 km and from 169 to 143 g / km for C0² emissions. Enough to save a lot of money at the pump but also on the purchase with a reduced penalty. Otherwise, several other engines will be available. It will be possible to opt for a 2-wheel drive variant, but also the V6 TDI, two TFSI 2.0 or two power levels for the rechargeable hybrid TFSI transmission.
This new vintage will be launched in France from autonomous 2020 at prices unknown for the moment. Currently, the Audi Q5 starts at 46,020 € with the 163 hp 35 TDI S tronic.
