The BYD Dolphin is on its way to Europe, with the first shipment having been shipped on July 2. According to the CarNewsChina site, this first delivery has 152 copies, a relatively small number which could correspond to the units intended for display in the first showrooms of the Chinese manufacturer in Europe. The photo was taken at the port of Shenzhen, a few hundred kilometers from the BYD factory in Fuzhou.

BYD hopes the Dolphin will be commercially successful in Europe. As a reminder, the brand initially launched three models, the Han and Tang, which are quite expensive, as well as the Atto 3 compact SUV, which is more affordable but not very competitively priced, starting at 43 €690.

On the other hand, the Dolphin hits hard with a starting price of €28,990 in France, or €1,000 less than the MG4! At this price, the vehicle is equipped with a small 95 hp engine and a 44.9 kWh battery. The version with a larger 60.4 kWh battery, offering a range of 424 km, is offered at €33,990, a very competitive price that does not take into account any bonuses.
