The first of three Formula 1 races in the United States will take place in Miami , marking the first double of the season for the discipline. Timings for the race will differ from the usual European timings due to the significant jet lag.
However, the usual race format will be maintained despite these changes. Early races saw Red Bull take the lead, but it remains to be seen what Ferrari, Mercedes and Aston Martin are capable of .
Due to Red Bull's great dominance in the previous four races, Verstappen is the favorite in Miami, although the internal battle with Perez , who excels on the street circuits, remains to be watched. The fight between the two Red Bull drivers seems to be the only source of excitement to determine the winner of the world championship.
Aston Martin have been seen as a close alternative, and although Fernando Alonso was a star surprise at the start of the season, he confirmed that it would not be enough. It will be crucial to see if Aston Martin has been able to resolve the issues with their rear wing and DRS that plagued them in Baku.
The situation at Ferrari is unstable, despite their podium obtained during this season. We will see the performances of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz . Mercedes are considering changing the design of their car, which could jeopardize the season. In contrast, Aston Martin mocks them by using the same engine.
The schedules are difficult, because the classification is scheduled for Saturday at 10:00 p.m. French time, followed by the race on Sunday at 9:30 p.m. The second free practice session takes place on Friday at 00:00, but technically that counts as Saturday.
There is no severe weather forecast for the weekend ahead, with the track expected to remain dry and temperatures moderate. In addition, the circuit has average tire wear.
