He hoisted his McLaren Senna GTR to the 57th floor with a crane to display in his living room, claiming he can do whatever he wants with his $3million car

A few weeks ago Adrian Portelli , a millionaire car collector , posted a video on his social media in which he was doing burnouts with his new McLaren Senna GTR decked out in Marlboro livery , the ones that adorned Ayrton Senna's F1 McLarens and Alain Prost .

The title of his post was clear: "If I spend $3 million on a car, I do what I want with it!" However, Portelli has now decided to park his Senna GTR in the luxurious apartment he has just bought in Melbourne, Australia , where it will no longer burnout and will simply serve as decoration.

Decoration and marketing maneuver

Adrian Portelli is a millionaire who exposes his life on social media , showing off his wealth and his collection of luxury cars , ranging from the classic Lamborghini Diablo GTR to modern hypercars such as the McLaren Senna GTR, on his Instagram account.

Recently, he announced the purchase of a Melbourne apartment worth $39 million , setting a price record. He then started decorating it his own way, avoiding IKEA stores. But the most unusual personal touch he's made to his home is placing his McLaren Senna GTR in his living room , an idea that isn't new but is unusual, especially given that his home is located on the 57th floor.

Some owners keep their car in the living room for pure pleasure, others to protect their car from the elements, but Portelli has clearly taken the concept even further.

Since the lift was not available, Adrian hired a company to transport his McLaren home using a crane. The event attracted a lot of attention, with many curious viewers and Australian television even posted the video of the feat on YouTube . Onlookers watched in fascination as a car worth 3 million Australian dollars ( 1.85 million euros at the current exchange rate), fitted with an 800 hp twin-turbo V8 engine , was hoisted to the top of one of the tallest buildings in the city.

The company that took care of all the details created a bespoke platform to transport the car and modified the floor of the Portelli by removing some windows to install a hole and fit the McLaren. Now Portelli has to tackle the interior design of his new flat and the furnishing, because for now the only thing inside is his Senna GTR .

This sophisticated marketing operation is put together by Adrian Portelli, who is attracting worldwide attention with his high-end McLaren, now sporting the logo of LMCT+ rather than that of Marlboro. Portelli accumulated his fortune through the sale of houses and cars in partnership with this company. Although the car is also used to decorate his living room, its main purpose is to promote LMCT+.
