Despite the notable growth of the Mercedes-Benz EQ electric range , the star firm does not leave behind one of its best-selling vehicles within its catalog, which of course belongs to the competitive SUV segment. Aesthetically on the outside, the design heritage with its sibling the C-Class is more than evident. There are 18" wheels, chrome elements, LED lighting, which is now present at the rear, with a lighting detail that joins the two skulls in the center, very EQC style , finally the dual tailpipes, of course simulated.
As on the outside, inside we find ourselves with a 12.3-inch class C digital dashboard, and 11.9 inches for the part of the MBUX system, that is to say the central screen.
Note that for this new generation of Mercedes-Benz GLC, the proposal in the mechanical range is limited only to 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines. Three variants are with a Mild-Hybrid system , i.e. with a 48-volt generator, three PHEVs , two with traditional combustion without electrical assistance and one more with diesel mechanics .
As for the powers, they will range from 197 hp for the 220d 4MATIC, up to 380 hp in the 400e 4MATIC version. Each of these versions will feature the 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and of course the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system .
Among the options of this new GLC there is a package called Off-Road , which has an increase in ground clearance of 20 millimeters , downhill assistance and a 360 camera system, with viewing angles that They facilitate the passage over complicated terrain, in addition to having typical information of the off-road vehicle.
It will be in Bremen, Beijing and Sindelfingen, the places where the production of this model will take place. However, so far there are no more details about the start of production, the date of sale, let alone official prices.
