Stellantis aims to optimize the charging of its electric models by simplifying the process thanks to Free2move Charge

Free2move Charge is presented as a complete system that makes it easy to keep an electric model constantly charged.

Stellantis, resulting from the merger between PSA and Fiat, is launching a new brand dedicated to charging, Free2move Charge. In a press release, the group describes Free2move Charge as a complete charging ecosystem designed to simplify the charging and energy management of electric vehicles.

In other words, everything related to charging is brought together under one brand in order to demonstrate to customers that it is easy to charge their electric car. Stellantis has even found a formula to sum it up: the "e-ABC", which stands for "easy to Always Be Charged". This offer is based on three pillars.

First of all, there is "Free2move Home", aimed at residential customers, which offers installation, financing and guarantee of home charging systems, as well as other energy-related services and equipment. This includes charging stations, cables and also future contracts taking V2G (vehicle-to-grid) into account.

After that, Free2move Charge Business will be available for business customers, offering a complete and unified platform of charging and energy management services. Customers will benefit from start-up assistance, an estimate of initial and future operating costs, adequate sizing of the charging infrastructure, installation, maintenance and access to terminals public charging stations on the go.

In addition, Free2move Go will allow access and payment from a vast network of terminals. It will offer reservation services, loyalty programs and centralized billing. Stellantis also announces the upcoming arrival of the Plug&Charge function.

These services will be integrated into the existing mobile applications of the various brands of the group, as well as the STLA SmartCockpit software platform, which will be launched in early 2024, probably with the electric model 3008. It is important to note that these services will not be exclusively reserved to customers of Stellantis models.

Initially launched on the other side of the Atlantic, Free2move Charge will be rolled out in Europe by the end of the year.
