The new Kia XCeed already has prices: the compact that wants to be an SUV arrives in Europe from 25,000 euros

Along with the Kia Ceed , the Kia XCeed which is its SUV variant received  its relevant facelift . And this  new Kia XCeed  is already on sale in Europe from  24,950 euros , or from 20,957 euros with the brand's discounts applied.

It continues to be offered with a complete range of engines, where we find pure petrol thermal, but above all mild hybrid diesel and petrol versions with the ECO label, as well as a plug-in hybrid variant, with a  ZERO label .

Among the novelties we find slight aesthetic adjustments, a  new sporty finish  and technological firsts to continue being one of the brand's reference cars in our market. Not in vain, we are talking about his third best-selling car currently.

More crossover than SUV, it has no oversized rivals on the market with this configuration, speaking for the purposes of a kind of raised compact. Hence its name: C-CUV.

For example, in this segment, the new Citroën C4  moves , which starts at a similar price in its 130 hp petrol variant and manual transmission: 23,205 euros, with discounts applied.

Same recipe, but adjusted

The Kia XCeed 's design recipe   works, so the changes are just enough that it doesn't lose its essence. At the front there are redesigned LED optics which now incorporate the fog lamps, as well as the new  tiger nose grille  or a reformulated bumper, and at the rear a slightly sportier diffuser.

It is also debuting new designs for the wheels, which come in 16-inch and 18-inch sizes. And its 11-color body color palette includes new hues: eye-catching Lemon Splash, Celadon Spirit Green and Yuca Steel Grey.

GT-Line version. For the first time, the Kia XCeed adds a sporty finish to its range: the in-house GT-Line. It represents its top of the range and comes in all its mechanics, although the one that suits you best is the 204 hp petrol, which is the most powerful of the family.

The XCeed GT-Line is distinguished by a specific grille, a more generous front air intake, specific bumpers, various elements in glossy black or even a sportier diffuser in body color.

At the rear, a few  drivers with 37 hexagonal LEDs  also take center stage, following the layout of the new Ceed. And the icing is put on 18-inch wheels.

With ECO and ZERO versions. The new Kia XCeed has a good range of mechanics, in particular hybrids, but also pure thermal. The latter are gasoline-powered, with T-GDI engines. Both represent access and the most powerful: the  1.0 of 120 hp  and the  1.6 of 204 hp  .

The most numerous alternative options are  mild-hybrids , with the ECO badge, which combine a 48V electrical system with a  1.5-litre 160hp petrol unit  or a  1.6-litre 136hp diesel unit .

In ZERO it is still a  plug-in hybrid , in which a 105 hp 1.6 GDi petrol unit combines with a 44 kW (60 hp) electric block to add  141 hp and 147 Nm .

This mechanism, already known, is also found in other models such as  the new Kia Niro . Combined with an 8.9 kWh battery, it promises up to  48 km of electric range .

Transmissions are either six-speed manual or dual-clutch automatic, available as an option.

Don't miss the screens. In this update, the Kia XCeed benefits from a more technological interior, with a prominence for the screens. It offers a  new 10.25-inch multimedia  from which the latest version of the Kia Connect system is managed.

With integrated eSIM, it has remote functions, the possibility of adding up to two personalized profiles and real-time data such as the search for parking spaces or rates, among others. The  instrumentation  can also be digital, materialized by a  12.3-inch panel  with new graphics.

Improve your ADAS systems. In this renewed Kia XCeed, some assistance systems have become more efficient. For example, the intelligent adaptive cruise control, which uses navigation information to adapt to the layout of the road and has a function of safety zones.

The blind spot detector also stands out, which not only warns that there may be another vehicle when changing lanes, but also acts on the steering if it detects a possible collision.

It also incorporates a new fatigue detector, which works using sensors and memorizes driving habits. In the event of an anomaly, it warns the driver with visual and audible alerts. And this system also warns in the event of retention when the car in front moves and the driver of this C-CUV does not do the same.

What does the new Kia XCeed have?

The  new Kia XCeed  articulates its range in four finishes: the Access Concept, the intermediate Drive and the highest, Tech and GT-Line.

Already in its most basic Concept finish, the XCeed comes with fairly comprehensive equipment. It has LED headlights, 16-inch wheels, electrically adjustable mirrors, electric windows for all rows, automatic lights and wipers, a five-inch multimedia screen, instrumentation semi -digital with a 4.2-inch screen or even USB and USB.C charging ports (in the rear rows).

Also without supplement we find most of the  assistance systems , such as automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detector, high / low beam assistant, fatigue detector, cruise control, warning of accidental lane departure or hill start assist.

The  12.3-inch instrumentation  is only standard on the GT-Line trim, which in turn is paired with the new  10.25-inch screen , although it's already available from the Tech.

This  GT-Line is  also equipped with keyless entry and start, a panoramic sunroof, electrically folding mirrors with integrated indicators, front and rear parking assistance, dual-zone air conditioning (from Drive) or  wireless charging  for mobile devices.

And it is also equipped as standard with the new ADAS systems such as intelligent cruise control, blind spot assistant, safety exit warning or rear cross-traffic pre-collision assistant.

However, the most advanced advantages are integrated into the  Premium pack  (for an additional 2,400 euros), such as the JBL audio system, the electric driver's seat with memory function, the heated and ventilated seats, the heated steering wheel or the opening hands free. for the tailgate.

All prices for Europe of the new Kia XCeed

The  prices of the  thermal Kia XCeed vary between  24,950 euros  and  37,175 euros , corresponding to 204 hp with GT-Line finish. Both without discount. The bulk of the range is led by the mild-hybrid, which in its case covers a range between  27,800 euros and 35,700 euros.

For their part, the rechargeable hybrid options  , only available from the Drive finish, do the same between  37,075 euros  and  40,625 euros , the PHEV GT-Line being the most expensive of its family.

However, Kia is planning  a discount of 3,993 euros  for most variants, with the exception of plug-in hybrids (4,054 euros) and the 204 hp GT-Line, which has the highest promotion (4,151 euro). All of these discounts include the brand offer as well as financing.

And like a good Kia, it's backed by the brand's warranty, which is one of its biggest claims: seven years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first.
