The Seat Arona's success as the best-selling urban SUV and one of the most popular cars is largely down to its price. The model is available from 19,090 euros , although it has cheaper competitors such as the Hyundai Bayon .

The Hyundai Bayon, the Korean brand's smallest crossover, has a higher starting price than the Arona, starting at 20,790 euros . However, Hyundai usually offers discounts, so the Bayon is available from 16,090 euros .

It can have the DGT ECO label

Hyundai has established itself as one of the most committed brands in the urban fashion segment, that of SUVs. It entered this category with the Hyundai Kona and then launched another smaller and more affordable B-SUV, the Hyundai Bayon.

Measuring 4.18 meters in length, the Hyundai Bayon offers three petrol engine options, including two with a 48V micro-hybrid system, earning them the DGT ECO label. The basic version is equipped with an atmospheric 1.2 MPI four-cylinder gasoline engine developing 84 horsepower.

Both mild-hybrid variants use a 1.0 T-GDi three-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, with one producing 100 horsepower and the other delivering 120 horsepower. The less powerful version can be mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. The 120 horsepower version is only available with an automatic transmission. Either way, the Hyundai Bayon comes with front-wheel drive and there's no all-wheel-drive option.

As for the equipment, the basic version of 84 CV is offered in three finishes: Essence , Klass and MAXX . The base level includes standard light sensor, roof bars, leather steering wheel, air conditioning, cruise control with steering wheel controls, active lane change system, emergency braking, Bluetooth and electrically adjustable mirrors, among other things.

The simplest Hyundai Bayon starts at 20,790 euros , but Hyundai always offers a discount, so in practice the Bayon is cheaper.

The starting price of the model equipped with the 84 CV engine of the Hyundai Bayon is now 16,090 euros, while the micro hybrid option with 100 CV and ECO label starts at 18,805 euros. For the version of the Bayon with a 120 HP engine and an automatic gearbox, the starting price is 24,770 euros.

Sa rival direct the Seat Arona

Among the competitors of the Hyundai Bayon is the Seat Arona. The basic version of this model starts at 19,090 euros and is equipped with a 1.0 TSI three-cylinder petrol engine developing 95 hp, combined with a five-speed manual gearbox. Due to the removal of the gas (NGV) versions from its range, the Arona can no longer obtain the ECO label.
