Do you dream of owning an incredible supercar ? It will soon be possible to bid on a very rare McLaren F1 during a sale organized in California in the United States by Sotheby's from August 18 to 20. “For nearly thirty years, the McLaren F1 remained the fastest naturally aspirated car of all time and earned its status as an automotive legend,” RM Sotheby's clarified.
The McLaren F1 on sale is the 97th of 106 models manufactured from 1992 to 1998 and one of 64 road vehicles in existence. Apart from its incredible performance, this model is particularly rare since it is also the only car to have been fitted directly from the factory with headlights suitable for night driving. One of the problems of the McLaren F1 was indeed the lack of high quality night lighting. RM Sotheby's adds that "fans of motorsport history will be acutely aware of the promising nature of this car's chassis number, 059, as it shares this number with the F1 race number that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1995”.

After undergoing a few modifications over the years, the McLaren F1 offered for auction is currently finished in “Magnesium Silver” paint. Only 16,400 miles (approx. 26,000 km) are indicated on its odometer, which means that the BMW S70/2 V12 engine is in very good condition. If the selling price of an F1 was 1,000,000 dollars when it was released, it is now very rare to find one for less than 20 million dollars.
