Waiting for the same SUV to arrive under another brand with the ECO label, an improved warranty and a reduction of 1,000 euros was worth it

Despite the fact that the design of the Mitsubishi ASX is similar to that of the Renault Captur , with which it shares almost everything except the logos, it is now present on the streets and is considered one of the most attractive options in the urban SUV segment . This segment is still dominated by the Seat Arona .

The Japanese model is produced on the same production line as the Renault Captur in Valladolid , giving it all the advantages of its French cousin. However, it also has a convincing selling point: a five-year warranty, two years longer than the Renault Captur.

The ECO label and the complete equipment

The Mitsubishi ASX and Captur are essentially identical, but the former offers a more comprehensive engine line-up than its competitors, including conventional, micro-hybrid, hybrid and plug-in hybrid gasoline engines.

The 160 HEV version is particularly interesting because it does not require spark plugs, consumes little (about 5 l/100 km on average), produces 145 HP and has been labeled ECO by the DGT.

However, the trunk of the 160 HEV version is smaller than that of the petrol or micro-hybrid versions of the ASX , offering only 305 liters of capacity, which is less than the 400 liters of the Arona , but greater than the 282 liters from the natural gas Arona with the TGI ECO sticker.

The engine offered only with the Kaiteki finish , the highest in the range with the authorization of the Kaiteki+ , offers a spacious and very well equipped interior.

Among the features of this finish for the 145 hp hybrid are 18" alloy wheels, Full LED headlights with automatic high beams, a digital instrument cluster with a large 10" display, a 9.3" central touchscreen, navigation or Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without cables.

The base price of this hybrid is 31,790 euros, but with the Mitsubishi commercial campaign , it is offered at 30,590 euros. Compared to the Renault Captur E-Tech Engineered Full Hybrid , which starts at 31,589 euros, the ASX offers more complete standard equipment and two additional years of warranty.
