Tesla's official store not only sells accessories and products for its cars, but also a variety of derivative products. The latest innovation she has introduced is a pilsner beer named Tesla GigaBier.
Although it may seem like a joke considering the approach of April Fool's Day, the product is presented as a flagship product and is available for purchase, which rules out any joking intentions.
It is true that the expression "cheap" does not quite fit, because each bottle of 330 ml costs around 30 euros. Additionally, this product is only available in a three-pack and is only sold in Europe.
Elon Musk announced the launch of the GigaBier himself in early October 2021 during the presentation of the Berlin factory, which has now been in operation for several months. Last week, Tesla actually launched the GigaBier, although some outlets such as Electrek have reported on it before.
The beer is made in Berlin, Germany, to Tesla specifications, but distribution and shipments are handled by Brouwunie, a Dutch beer company.
This car-branded GigaBier cannot be considered alcohol-free as it contains 5% alcohol by volume. Its ingredients include water, malted barley, yeast and an exclusive variety of "cyberhops". It is sold in a limited edition in a stylish three-bottle pack with an exclusive design inspired by the Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup.
The price of the pack is 89 euros and it can only be purchased on the Tesla website. Shipping costs are included in the price and it is possible to pay by credit card or with Apple Pay. According to Tesla's FAQ, only one pack can be purchased per order, but up to three can be added on the website in Spain.
This product will be available until September or while supplies last. The high price of the pack can be justified by the combination of the exclusive bottle design and the rarity of this limited edition product.
Is the Tesla GigaBier available in France? Yes, France is one of the European countries where it is offered, along with Germany, Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland, l Italy, Norway, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and the Netherlands.
Delivery in France is handled by DPD, as in most other markets, and Tesla guarantees delivery within three weeks of payment. Although sales of the GigaBier have not yet sold out, circulation is limited and so it could sell out quickly.
This isn't the first time Tesla has dabbled in alcoholic beverages, as it also released an aged tequila that sold out within hours despite its hefty $250 price tag. However, the Cybertruck associated with the GigaBier has not yet started production, even years after its presentation.
