The luxury firm, Bentley, is among those with a very clear path to follow in its electrification process, with the year 2030 being the target date to offer only 100% electric vehicles in its catalog. However, it will be next 2025 when those in Crewe present the Bentley EV , which its CEO says will deliver some crazy numbers .
Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Bentley Motors Limited, said its debut in the electric segment will be made by the current Bentley EV, a luxury Gran Turismo whose performance promises to be off-the-shelf .
Although there is no official data and there are only a few figures mentioned by Hallmark itself, the BEV will have an impressive power of 1,044 kW, something like 1,400 hp . In case the above doesn't sound impressive, the acceleration this electrified GT promises to have is something insane, taking just 1.5 seconds to go from 0-100 km/h , with the ability to tweak said acceleration to go "slower" marking 2.7 seconds , this according to the taste and preference of the user.
To achieve its goal with its first 100% electric model, Bentley will use the EPI platform , which will also be used by other vehicles belonging to the Volkswagen group; the Porsche Macan EV and the Audi Q6 e-tron . In addition, the firm of British origin will invest 2,500 million pounds for the development of new models, in the next 10 years .
